Bright Biomethane constructed a biogas upgrading system in Finland. The system facilitates production of Renewable Natural Gas from biogas, which is produced from various waste residues.

Because of the extreme weather conditions the system has to be resistent to freezing temperatures and the weight of possible snowfall. That’s why this PurePac Arctic can carry a load of 1 meter snow and has extra insulation in its housing. This system produces 231 SCFM of RNG (371 Nm³/hr biomethane) from 373 SCFM of biogas (600 Nm³/hr raw biogas) and injects its produced RNG into the national gas grid. This RNG is used by Finnish households for heat and cooking.

In addition to the production of RNG, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO₂-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO₂.
