Bright Biomethane constructed a new biogas upgrading system in a small village near Rennes in France. The system facilitates production of Renewable Natural Gas from biogas, which is produced from various waste residues.
This compact system produces 46 SCFM of RNG (75 Nm3/hr biomethane) from 87 SCFM of biogas (140 Nm3/hr raw biogas), but can be extended in the future to produce more RNG. The produced RNG will be directly injected into the national grid and is used for cooking and heating. Alternatively, the produced gas the can also be used as CNG (vehicle fuel). In addition to the production of RNG, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO₂-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO₂.
