Härnösand, Sweden
This efficient biogas upgrading project in Härnösand, Sweden is the first project Bright Biomethane realized in Sweden. The purpose of the plant is to produce biogas from food waste and sewage sludge.
The project includes the reception and treatment of food waste and sludge, dry fermentation biogas upgrading, compression and a refuelling platform. The plant has a capacity of 62 SCFM of biogas (100 Nm³/hr raw biogas) and produces 34 SCFM of RNG (55 Nm³/hr biomethane).
The produced Bio-CNG will be utilised as vehicle fuel. This unique biogas plant has great advantages for the environment, because bio-CNG is a cleaner fuel than diesel or petrol since there is lower emissions of particulate matter, NOx and CO2. Another great advantage of this plant is its compact construction and placement in one container which is fully resistant against cold and snow.
