Bright Biomethane will soon start the commissioning of the biogas upgrading installation in Dunsfold, England. The installation is located adjacent to anaerobic digestion (AD) plant, which generates 311 SCFM of biogas (500 Nm3/hr raw biogas) from supermarket food waste. Once operational, the upgrading installation will produce 174 SCFM of RNG (280 Nm3/hr biomethane) and 84.7 million ft3 annually, which will be used for injection into the national gas grid, sufficient for keeping roughly 2200 British families warm.
This PurePac Medium installation comes in a 40 ft container, including membrane filtration modules, control panel and a biogas analysis system. Active carbon filters, cooling skid and a compressor are placed outside the container. The installation can be in the future extended with a liquification system to produce food grade quality CO2.
