Dompierre-sur-Yon, France
Farmer Earl Delger raises, together with his wife Anna and two agricultural employees, 130 dairy and 320 bull calves on 198 acres of land in Dompierre sur Yon in Vendée. Bright has constructed a new biogas upgrading system on their farm in the west of France. The system facilitates production of Renewable Natural Gas from biogas, which is produced from various waste residues.
Besides the biogas upgrading system Bright also installed a biogas boiler to heat the digester inside the biogas plant. This system produces 81 SCFM of RNG (130 Nm³/hr biomethane) from 143 SCFM of biogas (230 Nm³/hr raw biogas).
The produced RNG is directly injected into the national grid and supplies French households with green gas, used for cooking and heating. The produced gas the can also be used as CNG (vehicle fuel). In addition to the production of RNG, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO₂-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO₂.
