Bright Biomethane has built a biogas upgrading installation at the largest wastewater treatment plant in the Netherlands, one of the largest in Europe, situated in Den Hoorn. This is Bright Biomethane’s second installation for the same client. This versatile installation makes use of an innovative pretreatment system which delivers biogas to several processing systems – the biogas upgrading system, existing CHP and boiler, interchangeably or at the same time.
By utilizing the upgrading system, the biogas is upgraded to Renewable Natural Gas with capacity of 560 SCFM (900 Nm3/hr). The produced RNG is injected into the gas grid. Instead of low-calorific RNG (L-gas), high-calorific RNG (H-gas) can be also produced in the near future.
